Mission
Growing up in a family where both of my parents had their business together, I had the opportunity to experience one of the most intense roller coaster rides a child could experience. This ride was called “The Money Coaster”, and boy was it wild.
Imagine for a second what a roller coaster feels like, one moment you’re climbing, climbing, and climbing to the top. You have a birds eye view of the entire park. Great feeling, right? The wind is blowing and everyone around you is calm, collected and laughing. Within seconds… BOOM! The drop from hell! For a second you feel your stomach trying to leave your body while your brain is trying to figure out why on earth you are going 60MPH straight to the ground, but deep down inside you know it’s just a ride, and a sense of calmness returns to you once more and you enjoy the ride.
Unfortunately, this does not happen when there is money involved. You see, growing up in a family where a lot of money was made and a lot of money was lost, I was part of this “Money Coaster” that unfortunately took its toll on my family, causing a horrible separation between my parents, a split amongst our family that till this day, it is felt.
You know how a roller coaster has it ups and downs? Well, in one of the final downs, the coaster never had enough “juice” to get back to the top. And it all fell apart.
10 years later, I look back to realize how, it doesn’t matter how much money you make, but how much money you keep. And you can’t just keep it under your pillow or inside your mattress. There needs to be a strategy. Although my parents made a lot of money together, they failed to plan and as a result without them knowing, they were planing to fail.
The Mission
Over the past 3 years
I have taken time to educate myself in the topics of finance and personal development. The two go hand in hand. You will often find that personal growth precedes financial growth, and for good reason. You see, I have this concept about money having it’s own identity and personality. If you are not completely sure of what you stand for (core values and principles) and you don’t know where you are headed, money WILL manipulate you in ways you never thought possible and take you down, just like it did to my family.
Because of this, I have created this blog where I will be talking heavily about financial literacy, personal development and business. Why business? Because I truly believe that if done right, this can be the vehicle that takes you to placed and live a life you never thought possible. I can tell you one thing though, although we had all these ups and downs growing up, my dad never missed a single soccer game of mine, why? Because he never had to ask anyone for permission or worry about getting fired for missing work, and that is something I am VERY grateful for and it’s something I want to give my future children, and hopefully inspire you to be there for YOUR loved ones.
In short…
My mission… “To empower half a million people to make a decision to increase their personal and financial worth to society through financial literary and personal growth strategies so that they can go on to live a life of their choosing and inspire those around them in the process.”
But I ask that you make me this promise, you will help, uplift and inspire others to do the same. One person can not change the world, but one person can be the difference in someone else’s world.
